When selecting fragrances, colorants, preservatives, and surfactants, the principle of efficacy should be prioritized, with minimal use of unnecessary ingredients, while also considering their potential adverse reactions. The formulation of children's cosmetics should not include ingredients with functions such as whitening, spot removal, acne treatment, hair removal, antiperspirant, deodorant, hair growth, hair dyeing, perming, bodybuilding, or breast enhancement. In addition, children's cosmetics should use cosmetic raw materials with a certain history of safe use, and the use of raw materials produced by genetic technology or nanotechnology is not encouraged.
There are many types of children's makeup sets, including lip gloss, lipstick, blush, nail polish, eyeshadow, glitter powder, contour cream, powder, puff, makeup brushes, etc.
Most of their packaging is gorgeous and cute. On the product introduction page, it will be marked with "healthy," "non-toxic," "water-soluble formula," "natural ingredients," "gentle and non-irritating," "preservative-free," etc., and some will also specify food-grade environmentally friendly children's makeup.
Prices range from a few dozen yuan to several hundred yuan. Sales are also very considerable. Many products have monthly sales reaching 1,000. Among them, more than 5,000 people purchased a 27 yuan makeup set, and the product page shows over 100,000 hot sales.
In China, although many parents do not allow their children to learn makeup from a young age, they cannot prevent children from wearing makeup during performances such as Children's Day, New Year's Eve performances, and gala evenings.
